We understand that cosmetic dentistry and other dental treatments aren’t always in your budget. That’s why we offer a number of options to help you bridge the gap between your budget and your treatment cost.
You can’t know how dental treatment is going to affect your budget until you know what it’s really going to cost. That’s why we provide you with comprehensive estimates as soon as we finish your examinations and determine your treatment options. We will come up with several treatment options and let you know what each one will cost, as well as the benefits and limitations of each treatment approach. That way, we can talk about payment options early and ensure you’re getting the best treatment at the right price for you.
At River Edge Dental, we will work with your insurance company when appropriate. We will help you understand your dental insurance benefits and whether they will cover your treatment in full or in part. We will be happy to fill out claim forms and bill your insurance company, though you have to remember that you are ultimately responsible for the cost of treatment. We will also collect your medical insurance information to have on file so that, if a procedure is billable to medical insurance, we can submit the claim for you.
Cosmetic dentistry will not be fully covered by your insurance, but in many cases, partial coverage is likely. In New Jersey, TMJ treatment is rarely covered by medical insurance. However, sleep apnea treatment with an oral appliance is generally covered as well as CPAP treatment.
Healthcare is both one of the most expensive and one of the most unpredictable expenses in our budget. It’s hard to set aside enough money for the unknown, but critical that we can afford the care we need, especially in dentistry, where postponing care almost always leads to a worsening of your condition and higher care expenses later.
That’s where Wells Fargo Health Advantage comes in. It gives you a credit line that you can use exclusively for healthcare expenses. This isn’t a one-time application for financing that you would have to repeat if new expenses come up–it’s a revolving credit line that you can use when you need it and keep in reserve for future expenses.
The benefits of Wells Fargo Health Advantage include:
- Special financing to help expenses fit into your budget
- Easy-to-understand monthly statements
- Manage your account and payments online
- Always have your credit at the ready when you need it
- Competitive annual percentage rate (APR)
- Quick and easy application
If you have a dental problem that needs attention now, Wells Fargo Health Advantage can help, and you can have it in reserve when future problems arise.
If your insurance doesn’t cover your procedure or doesn’t quite make it fit in your budget, we offer financing through CareCredit.
CareCredit is a type of medical credit card account that can be used for health and wellness expenses, including dentistry.
No-interest financing plans allow you to pay back the amount borrowed without interest, if paid within the plan period, which can be as long as 24 months. It also gives you the option of making payments over an extended time period, dividing it into equal monthly installments for periods of up to 60 months.
You can apply for CareCredit on your own, or we can assist you with the application in our office. Approvals typically happen very quickly. CareCredit also offers an online payment calculator for an estimate of your monthly payments.
At River Edge Dental, we like you to have options when it comes to your payments! We also offer financing through LendingClub!
LendingClub offers low, fixed-rate loans that will make paying for your dental treatments quick and easy!
Cost & Value
It’s sometimes hard to accept that the cost of dental treatment is appropriate, but we make sure to control costs so that we can offer you a reasonable price for the quality of dental care you are receiving. Before you decide to look for a cheaper alternative, consider the value of quality dental care in terms of:
- Better appearance
- Better function
- More comfort
- Increased longevity
Quality materials are more expensive, but they will look better and last longer. When a dentist invests more time in your treatment, either in training beforehand, or in actually working on your smile, the results are often more functional and more comfortable — and will also generally last longer.
A cheap dental treatment today might be more expensive in the long run.
